MK TURNS ONE

It’s been six months (check out his other session here!) since I last saw MK and not only is he getting huge, he’s more adorable than ever.

His parents threw him a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party and wanted to capture some of the elements from the big day including a tiny cake.  Oh, and just wait until you see his authentic Nigerian outfit from his mom’s side of the family.  Happy 1st Birthday MK!  We hope to see you again soon!!

THE COLLINS FAMILY

Our son’s best friend in the world is Grant.  Grant is two weeks older than Harry and for the last year they’ve had regular weekly play-dates.  That is, of course, before we moved across the country!  Whenever we pop back to Indiana, though, we make sure these two get a chance to get some good play in.  (At the end of this post, you’ll see the nonsense these two get into when they’re together!!)

Stephanie & Preston have become great friends of ours.  I text Stephanie regularly to ask questions about teething and tantrums and everything in between.  The Collins are such amazing people and have made a big difference in our lives. So! we wanted to make sure we had the opportunity of taking some fun fall photos to say a HUGE thank you for everything they’ve done for Harry!!

MONICA + PAT — AN ALEXANDRIA ENGAGEMENT

Hi there!  I had the wonderful opportunity of shooting another fun location:  Alexandria!  It’s one of our favorite areas here on the east coast. Lots of brick roads and historic buildings with a small town feel. It also has cute little shops and fun places to eat.

I met Monica + Pat at the Carlyle House on Fairfax Street. Aside from the gorgeous house itself, there’s a beautiful little park behind with lots of greenery and a gazebo.  Afterwards we headed to downtown Alexandria for some brick, a pretty fountain, and then down to the docks where we met some romantic geese. (You’ll see.)  We had a perfect day for shooting and I truly enjoyed every moment spent with these two lovebirds!
