We on the east coast have had some crazy unusual weather lately — ninety degrees one day, thunderstorms the next! Mother Nature took no leave of absence for Sarah & Jason’s US Naval Academy wedding in Annapolis, Maryland. (be sure to check out their adorable engagement session from last fall — complete with lots of sunshine, I might add! 😉 ) We’re talking non-stop, sideways, monsoon-like rain all. day. long. Except it stopped for just a few brief moments after the ceremony, just long enough for the bride and groom to leave the service and enter the archway of swords. The two stopped to kiss and then passed through, completing the symbolic safe passage into marriage.
The weather just couldn’t dampen this couple’s spirit. As you’ll notice in the photos below, they had nothing but smiles on their faces the entire day. They were just so excited to be together and to finally be married that a little (okay, a lot) of bad weather didn’t get them down. They had the most hilarious group of friends + super supportive family and they made Andy + I feel right at home.
We also had the opportunity to work with some of our favorite wedding professionals in the field — Jet & Dani Kaiser of Jet Kaiser Films. We’ve had the pleasure of working with these two since 2009 and it’s always a treat to spend a wedding day with them. Jet was just nominated and WON two Emmy Awards for his incredible work on a film in Indianapolis. So needless to say Sarah & Jason will be getting the best wedding video ever! 🙂 On to the photos!
