We had the awesome opportunity of experiencing two favorites — the Cherry Blossom Festival and an adorable couple in love. Meet Zach & Kyle — two cuties who woke up at the break of dawn to beat the crazy crowds that would be forming around the Tidal Basin the very weekend the blossoms were in bloom. And it was so worth it! Soon after we left, there were literally thousands upon thousands of people swarming around the Jefferson Memorial to catch a glimpse of the 3,000 trees planted in 1912 — a gift from the mayor of Tokyo commemorating diplomacy and friendship between the United States and Japan. So cool. Andy and I consider it such an honor to be living here! It’s so incredible to be part of such historical events. A big thanks to Zach & Kyle for waking up early, braving the crowds, being adorable, and giving us a reason to shoot photos of some really beautiful cherry blossoms!
