These photos are especially dear to me and ones I think I’ll remember forever.  Andy & I have had the complete honor of living next door to Seth & Kelly (& now Edie!) for the past 6 years.  They moved next door a mere two weeks after us and it was the biggest blessing we’ve had until Harry.  I randomly recognized Seth from somewhere I couldn’t place — and it was much later we realized he & I were working at the same wedding, way back when.  He was the officiant! Small world.

So we invited them over one evening to sit on our back patio while we burned a small fire and laughed and laughed (we exchanged nightmare wedding stories, ha!)  We’ve been friends ever since. We’re heartbroken to be leaving them at the end of the summer. Yep, the Shaws are moving to Washington, DC to begin a new adventure! While we’re ecstatic to start from scratch in a new city with exciting new opportunities, we will miss these dear friends like you wouldn’t believe.

So a week or so ago when Kelly’s parents were in town to visit baby Edie, I wanted to take their portraits.  I chose a few minutes before sunset in an attempt to capture their warm, glowing spirits. Kelly’s parents are total gems and you can see what helped to shape Kelly into the beautiful woman she is, inside and out.  And not to leave out Seth — he is the definition of humility, with a heart that beats for ministry and servant-hood. He also has the most wonderful sense of humor you’ll ever encounter.

Come see their beautiful family in portraits we hope they’ll treasure.

Let us know if we can help you guys out in any way as you prepare to move (even though we want to keep you here). And promise to come back and visit and post lots of Instagram photos! 😉
